Shopping with kyla « Thread Started on Sept 30, 2009, 10:47pm »
Tabitha walked into honeyduke's, kyla holding her hand as she walked alongside her mother. Tabitha had brought kyla with her to a doctor's appointment, and since kyla had been good, tabitha had said kyla could get a treat at honeydukes.
Kyla was looking at the sweets and candies, and after what seemed like hours of looking, she finally decided on a bag of gummy worms. Tabitha paid for them, and the two left the shop to head towards the leaky cauldron for lunch with braeden.
Ooc: what I was thinking is maybe they're spotted by a deatheater at some point, and they discover that tabby and braeden are still around, as well as the fact they have a kid. The deatheaters then take the info to Dante, which eventually leads to the kidnapping thing I mentioned in PM's

Braeden had just got off of his new job at the ministry. It was hard work, not physically as he was used to, but mentally. He felt like he had to try extra hard to keep up with all the other employees who seemed to each be a genius in their own right, where he was just an ordinary joe, the tyep of guy you would expect to see busing tables or cleaning a dirty bathroom. He didn't know how long he'd be able to keep up.
He was waiting at the Leaky Cauldron for Tabby and Kyla.
He was at table already and there were drinks on the table waiting for them. He was parusing the menue for today, over and over again when he already knew he wanted the portebello steak with mashed potatoes and veggies.

Tabitha and Kyla entered the Leaky Cauldron. Kyla spotted braeden and ran ahead of tabitha. "Lookit what mommy got me!" she said excitedly, showing braeden the unopened bag of gummy worms. Tabitha wouldn't let her open the bag until after lunch. Tabitha picked up kyla, setting her in the booster seat at the table, and smiled at braeden. "Hey, how was work?" she asked him, sitting down at the table, looking over the menu.

Braeden had a big smile for his little girl. She was the most precious thing he had beside Tabby. "Wow, looks like mommy is spoiling you. I thought that was my job. Well if it was me I would have let you had a gummy worm before lunch" he winked at Kyla.
Then he gave a smile to Tabby "It was great" he tried sounding convincing. He didn't want her to know about how he was struggling.
In the corner of the resturant sat two shady figures, whispering in the strange darkness.

Kyla giggled. "mommy let me get them for being good," she beamed, and tabitha laughed slightly. "she was very good today at the doctors," she smiled. She heard braeden say work was good, but he sounded a little fake, like he didn't want her to know something. She didn't say anything, figuring he'd say something when the time was right. She went back to what they were talking about, telling braeden about the appointment. "the doctor said everything looks good with the baby," she smiled, unaware that someone was in the corner of the resturant, quite possibly listening in on the conversation.

Braeden said with a big grin "I'm glad to hear that everything is going well with the baby. That's great. I'm so excited for it to come Tabby" he said grabbing her hand across the table, rubbing it and then kissing it with a smile. Then he looked at Kyla "what do you want to eat Kyla?" he showed her the kids menu reading off what it said.

Tabitha smiled. She loved how excited braeden was about the baby. "I love how excited you are about the baby," she said and smiled again. Kyla listened to braeden read off the menu. "I want kicken nuggets," she said, having difficulties saying chicken nuggets. She saw two people in the corner of the restaurant, and was interested in why they were all off by themselves.

Braeden winked at his wife and then looked at Kyla "that is an excellent choice" and he motioned for the waitress. He ordered for himself and Kyla and then let Tabby order for herself. He then noticed where Kyla was looking and started feeling a bad vibe.

Tabitha ordered her food, and the waitress left. "i have another appointment next month, and they're gonna do an ultrasound. I really hope you can be there," she said to braeden with a smile. she knew his new work schedule could be a little hectic sometimes. She noticed kyla looking at some people in the corner, and looked over. she thought she recognized one of them, and she felt her stomach drop, getting a bad feeling from these people.

Braeden had turned his attention back to his wife "Yeah of course I'll be there honey" he grabbed her hands again and smiled at her. Then he noticed the look in her eyes "are you feeling sick?" he wondered if she was having nasea from the pregnancy.

Tabitha smiled. "That's great! i wasn't sure when to have it scheduled, cuz i really wanted you to be there, and i know you have work most of the time," she said. She looked over at the table again. she knew she knew one of them, but couldn't remember how. She looked back over at braeden, hearing him ask if she was feeling sick. "Not really. at least not as bad as i was this morning," she said with a slight laugh. Since she was pregnant, her nightmares had become more frequent, therefore everything else was intensified due to anxiety and fear. It meant some of her mornings were absolute hell for her, while others weren't as bad.

"I think i recognize one of them," tabitha said quietly. "I just don't remember how i know them..." she added as the waitress brought their food. Tabitha helped kyla with her food a little before starting on her own food. It was one of her favorite things to eat, but as soon as she took the first few bites, it was obvious that her body disagreed, and she began to feel sick. really sick. she excused herself from the table and went to the bathrooms that were at the back of the restaurant, right past the people sitting in the corner. She came back after a few minutes and sat down at the table again. "Sorry about that. it looks like this baby doesn't like chicken, i guess," she said with a small laugh. she poked at the vegetables, suddenly having lost her appetite.

Braeden said "Do you want to leave Tabby? We can take our food to go and you can go home and rest... and then we won't have those weird people looking over at us like that. You recognize them.. or one of them I mean? Who? They are all wearing long sleeves... and the heater is definatly on in here" then something clicked in his brain and he looked at Tabby not wanting to say it out loud.

Tabitha had momentarily zoned out, trying to figure out where she knew these people. she heard braeden mention the long sleeves, and the heat being on, and suddenly made her connection, her eyes growing wide. "Brae, maybe we should leave..." she said quietly, starting to get a little nervous. She was afraid of another ambush by deatheaters, even more so with the fact that kyla was with them. If something happened to kyla, she wouldn't be able to deal with that.
